Our scope covers a broad range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Cancer biology and molecular mechanisms
  • Oncology and cancer therapeutics (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy)
  • Early detection, diagnostics, and biomarkers
  • Cancer prevention and epidemiology
  • Personalized medicine and precision oncology
  • Clinical trials and translational research
  • Cancer genomics and bioinformatics
  • Palliative care and survivorship

By embracing open access, the VL Journal of Cancer Research fosters global collaboration and ensures that the latest discoveries are accessible to researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals worldwide, enabling faster adoption of innovative treatments and strategies.

Why Open Access?

We believe that research in the critical field of cancer should be available to all, without barriers. Our open-access policy ensures that:

  • Articles are freely accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world, helping to maximize the impact of cancer research.
  • Authors retain the copyright to their work, ensuring it can be widely shared, cited, and discussed.
  • No subscription fees are required, allowing scientists and clinicians from developing countries and underfunded institutions to access and contribute to cancer research without financial restrictions.

All articles are published under a Creative Commons license, making them freely downloadable and shareable while ensuring proper attribution to the authors.

Article Processing Charges

As part of our commitment to open access, an article processing charge (APC) of USD 250 is charged to authors upon the acceptance of a manuscript. This fee supports the journal's operational costs, including peer review, editorial services, and publication, ensuring the high quality and accessibility of our content. However, we also offer discounts and waivers for authors from low- and middle-income countries upon an evaluation on a case-to-case basis.
